German mezzosoprano Christina Bock is known for her radiant and colorful voice and her fearless, adventurous characters on stage and her own concert creations that blend different genres, performance and constellations into each other. She made her first professional appearance on stage at the Age of 20. She has been member of the International Opernstudio of the BADISCHE STAATSTHEATER KARLSRUHE, before she joined the ensemble for one season. From 2012-2020 she has been member of the SEMPEROPER DRESDEN, where she sang all lyric repertoire, including roles such as Octavian, Cherubino, Niklausse and Hänsel. Followed by a strong and frequent artistic relationship with the STAATSOPER WIEN. Recent engagements included the ROYAL OPERA LONDON, OPERA BASTILLE and the SALZBURGER FESTSPIELE. Bock was born in Thüringen and studied Opera and Lied in Leipzig and Karlsruhe. 2024/25 she will have some international Debuts such as "Ariadne auf Naxos" at TEATRO DE LA MAESTRANZA, "Die Fledermaus" at OPERA ROYAL DE WALLONIE and "the Passenger" at the BAVARIAN STATE OPERA. Bock regularly performs in recital, with different chambermusic ensembles, international festivals and interdisciplinary projects. Debuts on the concert stage will also include Projects with the RSB BERLIN, the DSO BERLIN, ICELAND SYMFONIEORKESTER and the SOÄŒR Praha.
